Social Events

To complement your time at InterPore 2026, we invite you to enjoy two fantastic social activities. Located just a short distance from the CBPF venue, these excursions provide the perfect opportunity to unwind, network, and take in Rio de Janeiro's world-famous natural landscapes.

Please note that these outdoor social activities are subject to change depending on weather conditions.

1. Sugarloaf Mountain Cable Car (Bondinho do Pão de Açúcar)

Towering over the Urca neighborhood, the Sugarloaf complex offers one of the most famous views in the world. The ascent is divided into two stages: the first stop is Morro da Urca, and the final peak is Pão de Açúcar.

You can choose between two ways to experience the first stage:

-The Cable Car (Bondinho): Fast and practical, this is the ideal choice for those looking for comfort and accessibility. Please check the prices. Duration: About 5 to 10 minutes.

-The Morro da Urca Trail: A free, eco-friendly alternative. This light-to-moderate hike immerses you in the Atlantic Forest, leading straight to the first hill. Duration: Approximately 40 to 60 minutes.

Important Note: The trail only takes you up to the first hill (Morro da Urca). To continue to the very top (Pão de Açúcar), you must purchase a cable car ticket at the ticket office or station.

For tickets, opening hours, and pricing, please visit the Official Sugarloaf Website: https://bondinho.com.br/

2. Mureta da Urca (Urca's Wall)

A quintessential Rio tradition! Join us at the famous Mureta da Urca. This is a traditional, informal gathering spot where locals and visitors meet to grab a cold drink, try local finger foods (like the famous empadinhas and pastéis), and watch the sunset over Guanabara Bay. It is just a short walk from CBPF and the perfect environment for relaxed conversations with colleagues.

Quick Tips for Your Comfort and Safety

To fully enjoy these outdoor experiences, we highly recommend that you:

-Wear comfortable clothes and appropriate shoes with good grip (especially if you choose to hike the trail).

-Bring a water bottle to stay hydrated.

-Apply sunscreen and mosquito repellent before heading out.
